Getting your Lead RR certification  – will put you in compliance with the EPA’s Renovation. Repair and Painting Final Rule (40-CFR745).  Being in compliance will save up to $35,000 per day per incident in EPA fines.

When more than ten square feet of painted surfaces in 1978 and older buildings is disturbed the contractor must be EPA RRP Lead CErtified.

New York City Department of Housing Preservation and Development has required that contractors to be lead certified since march of 2018

This is real simple.

Take the class, pass the class exam, send your license application   class completion certificated and application fee to the NYS Department of Labor and you receive your license  several weeks later.
